Sportstube.com, or Sports Tube, Inc. has been in the inner tube business for many years. We realize that most recreational tubes are made of thin vinyl. Have you ever jumped into a vinyl tube? Often such treatment results in a blown tube and the end of its floating days!

As in days gone past, before the influx of these cheaper made tubes, there were days that saw real rubber tubes, often out of the family car tire, that would last seemingly forever while providing lots of floating, fun and any kind of rough treatment you could give it.

Sports Tube is that kind of tube, without having to take the tires off of the family car! Its durable, tough, real rubber and is easily patched with any standard tube repair kit if you do manage to get a hole in it.

Even though it may look like a tube from a tire, Sports Tube is specially made for recreational use. The large and giant sizes have a small rubber valve stem which is designed to minimize scratching and cutting like a typical tube valve may do. However, as good as it is, we caution you to use care to avoid contact with skin and especially eyes. The super-giant/cooler size tube has a larger metal valve stem to ease filling tube with air with a cooler inside.

Due to the nature of using real rubber in our tubes, they sometimes will blow up slightly unevenly. This does not mean the tube is defective. However, if your tube seems to enlarge with an excessive amount of unevenness, simply return the tube to Sports Tube and we'll send you another one.
While we feel that our Sports Tube is excellent for floating, river tubing, snow sledding and many other water activities, they are not intended for use as a tow tube or for water skiing.
